Who can file a claim? |

The next of kin and/or immediate family members of former Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory employees and members of the general public from whose bodies organs and/or tissues were retained during and after autopsies performed by Settling Defendant Stewart at the Los Alamos Medical Center and at other medical facilities in the State of New Mexico.
Tissue was collected from 304 individuals during the time period that Settling Defendant Stewart was conducting autopsies. A list of those 304 individuals (called "Decedents") is found below and may be viewed by clicking on the "List of Decedents" link. Subclass members entitled to submit a claim are the next of kin and/or immediate family members of the 304 Decedents listed in the List of Decedents.

No. The claim form is simple and “user friendly.” Simply fill out under penalty of perjury, sign and submit with a postmark no later than April 2, 2007, to be considered. |

When will I know if the Court approves the Settlement Agreement? |

A fairness hearing will be held on March 30, 2007, at 2:30 p. m., at the First Judicial District Court, Santa Fe County, Judge Steve Herrera Judicial Complex, 100 Catron St., Santa Fe, New Mexico. This website will post the Court’s ruling after it has been issued. |
